Beauty Purchase: Revlon

Happy 11th day of blogmas!

In my renewed vigour to find a wonderful red lipstick for the holidays,  I found myself at the Harmon's (which is a really dangerous idea).

I went straight to the makeup aisle and perused the Revlon lipstick section for a good while. I'm sure my sister was fed up with me for taking so much time to choose one lipstick.

I picked out all the reds that I had liked online and had to narrow them down one by one.  Since they were sealed with little plastic wrappers and there were no testers, I had to just go for it. I narrowed out the brick reds and the ones that looked too pink. Finally I got it down to two: Wine With Everything (seen in My Christmas Makeup Wishlist) and one that wasn't in my other blog post.

After careful consideration, I purchased Spicy Cinnamon lipstick and Wine lip liner. Luckily choosing the lip liner was no problem at all. (Even the names of these just sound so festive and Christmassy. I mean really, Wine and Spicy Cinnamon? They sound so warm)

I absolutely love the colours of both the liner and the lipstick. I am completely happy with my purchase. I like the application of Revlon lip products in that it is smooth and provides even colour. The only downside is that the lipstick does need reapplication after eating,  but that's not too bad. If you use lip liner as a base it gives you more coverage when the lipstick fades, so keep that in mind as a little trick!  ;)

Really,  these colours are so so pretty and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a deep red this holiday season! What colour lipsticks are you loving this season? Any recommendations?
