Pinch and a punch for the first of the month. Hello lovelies!
Happy 1st of December!
Blogmas begins today and I have a few projects I'll be working on! :) To kick off the season, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite things that I've been enjoying lately.Face

Covergirl + Olay Concealer Balm in 310 Fair
This is perfect for spot and under eye concealment. I love the fact that it is a crayon, but goes on smoothly instead of leaving a waxy feeling like some concealment sticks do.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light Sheer Tint
In all fairness, I haven't tried any other BB creams out there, but this one is perfect. It evens my skin tone without being too dark for me. (As you will see in all my other posts, I pretty much get the palest shade there is for my pasty complexion ;P ) Plus it does a million other things like moisturizes and has SPF. I also like the fact that it leaves my skin feeling normal instead of greasy.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer in 30 Berry Glow
This is a fairly recent discovery and I am rather pleased with its results. The bronzer doesn't go on too darkly and the blusher isn't neon pink (although this picture kind of makes it look like it). I really want to try 40- Rosy Glow for the holidays, so I think that will be in my next purchase.

Sephora Collection Colorful Palette in Taupe Model 06
I love this palette of browns and neutrals. I can make anything from a neutral to super intense look. I also use the liner at the bottom to fill in my brows. One thing to keep in mind is that the four eye shadow colours are a bit shimmery, so don't expect a matte look.
When it comes to lining my eyes, I usually use one or both of my eyeliners. The mascara I use depends on the effect I want or the mood I'm in. haha :)
Eye Liner
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen in 01 Blackest Black
The first one is this Liquid Eye Pen. I used to use the Doe Eyed Liner from Sephora, but that pen tip didn't have the same life span or consistency as this one. Plus, Revlon makes a much more affordable product for a much better result.
This tip doesn't squish around like the Sephora one and it is exactly like using a pen, which sounds weird and uncomfortable but I promise it isn't. This is not waterproof and will wash off with plain face wash and water (which is something that I love about it). I hate sitting there, scrubbing my eye makeup off with makeup remover. It is also very forgiving if you mess up while putting it on (a little bit of water and your finger can remove mistakes) This is easy on, easy off.
Maybelline EYESTUDIO Gel Eyeliner in 950 Blackest Black

This is what it looks like in the package
My second eyeliner, which I love equally as much as the first, is my gel liner. Now I had always seen people using gel liner in their makeup tutorials but I had never thought to get one as I assumed that it was super expensive. It isn't and it is well worth it. You definitely get your use out of this little pot of eyeliner.
It's great as a top liner and it gets close to the lash line so your makeup flows. Plus, gel liner is great to tightline your eyes since you don't have to worry about hitting your eye with a pencil or missing with liquid liner and ending up with a stinging black eye.
I've also found that this liner doesn't irritate my eyes when I use it to tightline, so it is definitely something to try out!

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara in 221 Blackest Black
This mascara is easy on and easy off, so I usually use it with the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen for my everyday look. It also washes off with face wash and water so it's hassle free. The colour is wonderful and if applied right there ism't clumping. It does look like you're wearing mascara when you put this on though (weird thing to say, but it's true).

Maybelline XXL Pro Extensions Mascara in Very Black
I happened across this mascara by chance. My roommate in college let me borrow it (new right out of the package) because I didn't own mascara and then let me keep it because I loved it so much. Contrary to the above mascara, this is more natural. I have gotten many compliments on my eyelashes when wearing this.

Revlon Pearl Lipstick in 628 Peach Me
I really wanted an orange lipstick, and this one was by far the best one I tried. I like the colour as it is not crayola orange. It's classy and chic.
I am in desperate need of a dark berry, wine, or plum colour for the holidays. I have yet to find a lipstick that meets my expectations :( If you have any suggestions, I will gladly take them!

Essie in Smokin' Hot
Not going to lie, this was not the colour I thought it would be. It looks like it's a deep autumny/wintery purple, but it comes out really dark and almost grayish (with two coats). I didn't like it at first, but now after a second go, I found that it's a lovely alternative to a harsher dark colour.
Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 28 Black Out
Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 210 Flirt
I have had these Xtreme nail varnishes for quite a few years now. I like these two colours very much and use them often. Black is a must-have staple as is burgundy red. I like Flirt because it is rich (although this picture makes it look a little brown, I assure you it is burgundy).
I think for my wishlist I really would like a matte black polish, possibly from essie. Thoughts?

Victoria's Secret Kiss and Makeup Travel Brush Set
I got this travel set of brushes for my birthday and I love them (even though my sister broke the mirror inside the kit). The brushes are super soft and I use them everyday to apply my makeup. :)
Maybe I'll do a few holiday looks with these products :)
Let me know what you've been loving and what you want for the holiday season!
love always,
