Knitting Projects

Knitting Projects

Happy 17th Day of blogmas!

If you are looking to be a little arts-and-craftsy this holiday season, why not take up knitting? You know you're going to use whatever it is you make as winter is fast approaching. Knitted clothes also make wonderful presents. They show that you care enough about someone that you took the time to make sure parts of them don't freeze off haha

I might retake up knitting (I haven't made anything since I knitted a scarf in Iceland last October. Using Icelandic wool to knit a scarf while traveling around Iceland? It was too good of an opportunity to pass up)

If you're a beginner knitter, be sure to have a few practice goes before starting your project. That way you can get a hang of the motions and tensions. The wonderful thing about knitting is that you can make pretty much anything.

Scarf

Mug Cozy (for tea, coffee, chai, hot chocolate... anything really)

Hats

Personally I love the slouchy beanies, but you can make it more form fitting and add buttons, ties, pom poms, etc. to make it your own.

Headbands

Hand Warmers / Gloves / Mittens

Leg Warmers

Socks

Sweaters

Blankets

Wow this has DEFINITELY put me in the mood to knit. If you are looking for patterns, I saw that craftsy.com had a lot for these things. Otherwise, Google is your best friend for patterns and how-to's. Happy knitting!

love always,
xo
